Anyone looking for a labeled, glob top Phoenix. Nice display of them at the Industrial Exposition. Naber, Alfs, & Brune put this booth together in 1879.
Great photo ! If you could jump back in time to 1879 and grab one those Phoenix's off the display, I have a hunch turning the bottle over and seeing the "slick" side might be a disappointment ! I have had the pleasure of excavating an area that was prolific in Phoenix's, and all the holes that produced the glob-top full-face 1/5s were straight 1880s. Most likely, his first bottles were "label-only" !
