Lookin' GOOD, Rich. All of my labeled Cutters, and others, were stolen from my Sierra cabin last winter. I had the shelves lined with all the labeled stuff plus the bottles that we had dug from toll houses and PX stops along the old roads. Among those were several nice colored knife edge flasks and a large amber N.B.Jacobs with a crack down one of the corners. Over 40 bottles were taken, along with numerous family photos and heirlooms. The investigating detective says that it looks like a family member was the miscreant. We have some "ideas", but no proof. So far, none of the items has surfaced, at least to my knowledge. None of the labels were rare, most were OK and Sole Agent bottles, but all with complete neck labels. Sad, but that's the way it goes. After the deductible, we didn't gain much from the insurance, either.
Great labels Rich. Thanks for taking the time to pull them out and photograph them. The O.P.S looks like it's a glob too?? Were all three of those bottles found in one cache?? The condition appears very equal on all of them, similar to some labeled liquor bottles found under a house in Truckee about 15 yrs ago. AP
Thanks for posting the labeled fifths Richard. That OPS label is really nice! The super great colored and whittled fifths look great in the window or back lit case, but for rarity, the labeled glops rank high in my book! And, as in Lou's labeled AAA fifth, they help identify and educate us on many bottles.
I hate it when somebody steals from another for any reason, just wanted to say I am sorry to hear about your loss. And all the more reason to have photos of at least your best bottles for if nothiing else identification of same, but when it may be family, it hurts worse....Andy
