Hey All, getting ready for the road trip to my favorite Bottle Show in Aburn, Cal. put got the boxes packed and working now on Insulators and Western Tradecards. Stop by AKA. Dr. Barnes, AKA. The Mole or better known as Rick Hall, Table #30 in the Upper Building and say HI, its always fun to put Faces with Emails, Ebay Handles and the Bottle Blogs Group Members. As my friend Gary W. would say "Buy like there is No Tomorrow" Should be another Fun Show, Looking forward to it. Dr.Barnes
I'm getting ready for Auburn too. Planning to do more shedding than buying this time around. I hope I don't go home crying as I'm planning to bring some nice fifths, sodas, and bitters to let go of. It looks like I'll be offering: 5 J.F.'s, an olive no crown, a shoulder crown, one or two Teakettles, a Roth, a Red-amber Jesse Moore, an amber Jesse Moore, a McKennas, Spruance Stanley, clear Fenkhausen, Picture Nabob, Miller's flask, Hostetter's color run, and some picture, pontiled, and colored sodas.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this show as well. A big thank you to those who ordered the book; Early Glassworks of California. I will be distributing the 123 copies that were ordered at this show.
ReplyDeleteYep, we'll all be there. No bottle money for me, though. I spent it all on Winchesters and advertising.
ReplyDeleteWarren, I'm happy to see the nice turn out for your book.
Mike,
ReplyDeleteStill gathering them Winchesters? I have a couple of duck guns that might interest you.
Winchester model 97 and a model 12.

I like the 97, and use mine a few times a year. It has a 26" barrel with screw in chokes added to shoot steel. Same goes with my all original Model 12 3" Heavy Duck. It has a 30" full choke barrel but shoots #4 steel just fine. I would like to see your guns one of these days.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pilgrim could might add a Star n Shield to the color run at the old '49er bottle show. Kinda like those Teakettles too. I need to scape up enough coin to represent. Hope the snow lets up, we're getting blasted.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting pasted here in the Sierra's. Tons of white stuff, trees down everywhere and no power for the last three days. Can't wait to get down to the banana belt for the Auburn show and see all your smiling faces.

No power? Whew. Glad I'm out'a that bidness. Max is prob'ly neck deep in it, though.
ReplyDeleteI hope to get up to the fairground and mark the floor for table set-up on Tuesday AM. Forecast for Fri and Sat is partly cloudy. Pray for no rain and clear over the hill.
